Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Status: Temporary Full Time

Department: General X-Ray - Oshawa

Program: Diagnostic Imaging Services

8 Hour Shifts, days, evenings, nights, weekends Schedule (Subject to Change)

Location: Lakeridge Health Oshawa

Wage Schedule: $36.840 - $50.240 per hour

This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health from 24 July 2025 to 31 July 2025.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produce radiographs and computed tomography images, ensuring proper storage and recording of images as requested by medical staff.
  • Assist Radiologists in procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain technical competence according to CMRITO guidelines and CAMRT/OAMRT requirements.
  • Rotate into other radiographic modalities.
  • Participate in training of students and technologists.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Sciences program.
  • CMRITO license required.
  • Knowledge of radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT techniques, pathology, and record keeping.
  • Ability to operate X-Ray, CT, Fluoroscopy, and ancillary equipment.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize requests for prompt patient care.
  • Adaptability to emergency situations.
  • Availability to work all shifts on short notice, including standby call within 30 minutes.
  • CAMRT membership preferred.
  • Satisfactory performance record.

  • Understanding of safety programs and participation in related in-services.
