Langley Memorial Hospital is a community hospital that has 180 beds and provides a range of primary, secondary and some specialty services, including 24/7 emergency, general and internal medicine, general surgery and select surgical specialties (such as orthopedic), critical care, obstetrics, pediatrics, and adult inpatient psychiatric care. Langley Memorial Hospital also offers day surgery and other ambulatory, outpatient services. Diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient laboratory services, and a full-service pharmacy support various hospital programs and their patients.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mammography/Bone Densitometry and Site Coordinator, Medical Imaging, the Radiological Technologist, Screening Mammography/General Procedures, practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as utilizing a client and family centered care model and the vision and values of the department within Fraser Health (FH).
The Radiological Technologist performs routine screening mammography, diagnostic radiography/fluoroscopy and other medical imaging procedures/techniques; observes safe radiation protection procedures. Duties include receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS), preparing examination trays and patients for specific procedures, operating computerized imaging equipment including processing and archiving of acquired data, monitoring patient during procedures and monitoring equipment performance and maintaining cleanliness of examination rooms.
Education, Training and Experience
Certification with the CAMRT. Successful completion of CAMRT Mammography 1 or equivalent. One year's recent, related experience in Mammography procedures and recent, related experience performing general radiographic procedures.
