Job Summary

We are hiring for a Relief Part‑Time Radiological Technologist, CT/General Procedures at Eagle Ridge Hospital.

Education, Training and Experience
  • Certification with CAMRT.
  • Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography.
  • One (1) year recent, related experience in radiology procedures or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • Completion of an Intravenous Therapy training course when required by site practice.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification – Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.

Responsibilities
  • Perform CT examinations in accordance with established procedures, including requisition completion, patient positioning, contrast media administration, and operating equipment.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, respond to potential reactions, and perform CPR if necessary.
  • Conduct radiography examinations, ensuring correct patient identification and image acquisition.
  • Facilitate workflow by reviewing requisitions and coordinating with porters.
  • Execute quality control duties, including equipment testing and maintenance reporting.
  • Maintain the work area, stock supplies, and manage equipment cleanliness.
  • Demonstrate equipment usage to staff, residents, and students; assist with orientation and supervision.
  • Respond to inquiries from other clinical areas and refer concerns to supervisors.
  • Adhere to health and safety rules such as Fire, Disaster, WHMIS, Smart Moves, and Infection Control.
  • Participate in program enhancements, quality improvement, protocol development, and committee involvement.
  • Engage in approved research and special projects as directed.
  • Report unsafe situations immediately.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
  • Certification with CAMRT.
  • Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one (1) year recent, related experience in radiology procedures or equivalent.
  • Completion of intravascular therapy training when required.
  • CPR certification – Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of CAMRT standards and guidelines.
  • Evidence‑based practice knowledge of CT and general radiography.
  • Understanding of organization policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Knowledge of current CT theory and practices within a client/family‑centered model.
