In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient & staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

The Radiological Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and carrying out diagnostic procedures either independently or in collaboration with a radiologist or other physician; applies radiation safety principles and practices to protect patients, staff, and the general public; and completes required documentation and administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience

Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist. Graduation from an approved radiology technology program. Eligible for membership in the CAMRT.
