The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants to examine and treat GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role involves performing technical procedures, applying ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, analyzing patient x-rays, and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include administrative support to ensure efficient operation of our centers. The Radiologic Technologist supports team members and patients through tasks related to patient care, organization, and communication.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Perform x-ray services as needed:
  2. Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients of all ages, ensuring proper positioning and protection.

  3. Assist patients with mobility, such as pushing patients in wheelchairs.
  4. Patient Registration:
  5. Secure paperwork, verify insurance and patient eligibility, process co-pays, and schedule appointments.

  6. Coordinate provider referrals and answer patient questions regarding their care.
  7. Patient Preparation and Rooming:
  8. Prepare patients for examinations, conduct interviews, record medical history, verify visit purpose, and perform vital signs checks.

  9. Conduct point-of-care testing as needed and relay information to providers.
  10. Stocking and Supplies:
  11. Maintain supplies and cleanliness of exam rooms, front desk, and reception areas.

  12. Manage inventory, check expiration dates, and order supplies as needed.
  13. Administrative Tasks:
  14. Maintain medical records, answer phones, handle correspondence, and perform daily opening/closing duties.

  15. Document equipment calibration, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Pass MVR background check.
