Job summary

CNL at Chalk River is seeking a Chemical Technologist to perform chemical and radiochemical analyses on diverse samples, support QA/QC, and contribute to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance. The role involves developing methods, maintaining instruments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fully on-site laboratory.

Applicants should have advanced tech education in analytical chemistry or chemistry, with 3+ years of experience; a Bachelor's is preferred, and ISO

Qualifications

• Graduation from an institute of advanced technology in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant lab experience or equivalent; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience with ISO 17025 laboratories is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and radiochemical analyses of diverse samples using various instruments and methods.
• Prepare routine and technical reports by processing data and ensuring QA/QC.
• Develop and document analytical methods and SOPs with staff collaboration.
• Support procurement of lab supplies and maintenance of analytical instruments.
• Apply QA/QC procedures and radiation safety practices; maintain quality records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
