Job summary

CancerCare Manitoba in Winnipeg is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Radiation Therapy department. The role involves reception, clerical tasks and patient assistance under the Clinical Resource Therapist, with a focus on maintaining patient comfort and safety.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, assist with patient transport, and ensure confidentiality per PHIA. Lifting and moving patients and equipment is required; BCLS and eligibility to work in Canada are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Certification as Health Unit Clerk or Health Care Aide is required.
• Experience in unit clerk or health care aide roles preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills essential.
• French language ability is an asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada; BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reception and clerical support to the Radiation Therapy Department.
• Support patient care tasks as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with patient comfort and family communication.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the Radiation Therapy area.
• Assist with lifting and transporting patients, samples and equipment.
