Job Description

This position involves assisting in localizing tumors, participating in treatment planning, and delivering high doses of ionizing radiation to patients as per prescriptions and instructions from Radiation Oncologists, under the supervision of the Manager of Radiation Oncology. This is an enterprise-wide position, requiring flexibility to accept work assignments across departments or campuses (Mountain View and Los Gatos) within a 15-mile radius as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of a 24-month radiation therapy technology course or college program in radiation therapy technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy or equivalent recognized by ARRT. Candidates eligible for ARRT certification must pass within six months of employment.
  • New graduates up to five years of continuous employment as a Radiation Therapist are eligible.
Compensation

Salary Range: $69.86 - $86.55 USD hourly

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

The physical demands include standing most of the shift, lifting up to 35 lbs frequently, sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting. (Details available in the Physical Requirements document.)
