The Role
The Radiation Specialist position will provide technical, analytical, and logistical support, maintenance, and
quality assurance for the radiation protection programs at Cameco’s Mining Division. You will provide technical and analytical support for the radiation program as well as lead projects within the radiation departments. The position is shared by Cameco’s four northern Saskatchewan sites and reports to the corporate senior health physicist in the compliance and licensing department.
In this role you will:
- Daily monitor and sample radiological parameters
-Represent the radiation department at job hazard analyses
-Complete incident investigations
-Enter data in a database of worker and workplace radiation information
- Managing radiation monitoring data and generating reports.
