Job summary

Luminex Molecular Diagnostics Inc in Toronto, Canada is seeking an Associate Scientist I - AGS to join our day‑to‑day research and development efforts. You will design, execute, and interpret molecular experiments and contribute to sequencing, fragment analysis, and other assays under supervision.

Qualifications include an associate's degree with 2+ years lab experience in molecular biology, plus knowledge of PCR, data analysis, and documentation; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree 2-year diploma in biochemistry, biology, molecular biology or related field with ≥2 years lab work.
  • Bachelor's Degree in biological/chemical fields preferred.
  • 1+ years lab experience in molecular biology or biotech industry.
  • Hands-on experience with PCR, data analyses, sample handling, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day laboratory work, record and analyze data and maintain records.
  • Present data to teams; contribute to protocols and reports for feasibility, verification, and validation.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory, Clinical, Assay R&D and QA for deliverables.
  • Support design control requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Assist in intellectual property development and maintain lab organization.
