Job summary

Bernie's Electric Supplies Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Project Quotations Specialist to prepare bid quotations for projects.

You will gather specifications and drawings from customers, coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers for pricing, and produce a professional BOM based on requirements. The role requires detailed, customer-focused individuals who can work independently or in a team, with basic electrical knowledge and familiarity with Office 365.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide quotations for project bids by collecting specifications and drawings from customers.
• Forward specifications to manufacturers and suppliers for bid pricing.
• Prepare and produce a professional bill of materials (BOM) based on customer requirements.
• Respond to day-to-day customer inquiries about project activities.
• Support Project Coordinator duties as needed and maintain relationships with customers, manufacturers and suppliers.

Who we are looking for:

This position is responsible for providing quotations for Projects bids. The incumbent will gather specifications and drawings from the customers inquiring about a bid and forward them to our manufacturers and suppliers for bid pricing. The incumbent then will prepare and produce a professional and accurate bill of material (BOM) based on customer requirements (ie. “takeoffs”). They will respond to day-to-day customer inquiries about Projects activities as well as supporting Project Coordinator duties as needed. The incumbent is expected to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, manufacturers and suppliers, and the Outside Sales team.

• Project Management education or credentials an asset (eg. PMP)
• Related post-secondary education or credentials an asset (eg. Accounting, Finance, Marketing, MIS, IT, Project Management, Supply Chain or electrical field training).
• Proficiency with Epicor P21 an asset.
