The Smith School of Business at Queen's University invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the rank of Professor with specialization in Sustainability, with a preferred starting date of July 1, 2026. Associate Professors with exceptional qualifications may also be considered.
A generous gift by the Quinn Family Future Foundation supports the establishment of this new faculty position to cultivate excellence in teaching important sustainability concepts and contribute to the evolution of our programs and curriculum. This search is open to faculty members from all business disciplines.
Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent degree.
Selection criteria include scholarship/research, educational leadership, and teaching excellence specifically on sustainability, which may encompass environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics.
The successful candidate will have a record of innovative and high‑quality scholarly research on sustainability, including peer‑reviewed publications and securing external research funding. Scholarship may be specific to a business discipline and include contributions related to teaching and learning.
Demonstrated educational leadership through prior curriculum design and teaching innovations in sustainability is required. The candidate should have the potential to enhance Smith's sustainability curriculum, preparing future business leaders for their roles in business and society.
Outstanding teaching contributions at both undergraduate and graduate levels are expected. Candidates must provide evidence of ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary, student‑centred environment.
Additional service to the department, Faculty, University, and/or community will be expected.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
