Capital GMC Buick Inc./DBA Capital GMC Buick EdmontonThe Quick Service Technician is a key position responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services efficiently and accurately. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of customers' vehicles by conducting essential lube, oil, and filter services. The purpose of this position is to contribute to the overall satisfaction of our customers, support the smooth operation of the service center, and uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality automotive care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform all lubrication services
Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e., battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Advisor
Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment
Receive repair order from either the Service Salesman or the Production Foreman and proceed to service lift
Lubricate entire car while looking for other items which may need repair
Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean
Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts
Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies
Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication
Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles
Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order
Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools”
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with basic automotive systems and components
Ability to perform lube, oil, and filter services accurately and efficiently
Basic knowledge of tire rotations, fluid checks, and routine vehicle inspections
Collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Willingness to assist with additional tasks in the service center as needed
Excellent problem-solving skills
Motivated with a customer-focused attitude
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
