Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) Lead - Eataly Sherway Gardens

Full-time

Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace! Each Eataly is unique, with its own character and theme, all aiming to provide our guests with:

  • High-quality Italian, local, and homemade products for shopping
  • Learning opportunities through classes and our team’s product knowledge

Eataly features bustling marketplaces with quick service counters offering coffee and drinks, pastries and gelato, pizza and focaccia, paninis, and grab-and-go meals. The QSR Lead assists in supervising and managing the daily operations of these counters. They report to the QSR General Manager and Assistant General Managers and supervise QSR Sales Associates and Baristas.

  • Maintain a strong leadership presence on the floor, engaging with guests, team members, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and high hospitality standards
  • Train, motivate, mentor, and organize team members
  • Purchase supplies, beverages, and equipment following the direction of the QSR General Manager
  • Monitor inventory, check orders, and distribute supplies as needed
  • Manage transactions and ensure accurate accounting
  • Record shift notes and assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling
  • Ensure departmental compliance with all quality, health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Document, investigate, and resolve guest incidents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred
  • At least 2 years of lead or supervisory experience in food service
  • Strong math skills and accuracy in handling money
  • Knowledge of steps of service
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of coffee and coffee production
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverages is a plus

Job Requirements:

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machines, blenders, juicers, and cash registers
