Overview

Position: Quick Lube Technician

Dealership: Saskatoon Motor Products

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Classification: Full Time, Immediate Hire

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and lubricate customer vehicles in accordance with Service Manager policies and procedures
  • Perform light mechanical work such as tire and battery replacement
  • Perform Oil & filter changes
  • Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
  • Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicle, check and mark required items on the checklist as required, and present findings to the Service Advisor
  • Replace oil and air filters
  • Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace or replenish as necessary
  • Check tire pressure and add air if needed
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
  • Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
  • Document all work performed on the repair order
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager
  • Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean
  • Notify the Service Advisor immediately of anything that changes the appearance or condition of the vehicle
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management
  • Other tasks as assigned
