The Packaging Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently bottling, labeling, sealing, and preparing spirits for distribution, while maintaining high standards of quality control, cleanliness, and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities
*Operate packaging equipment including bottle fillers, cappers, labelers, and case packers
*Perform routine setup, changeovers, and basic maintenance of packaging machinery
*Inspect bottles and packaging for quality and consistency, ensuring all products meet company standards
*Accurately label, seal, and case bottles of spirits
*Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area in accordance with health and safety standards
*Complete production documentation, tracking batch numbers, quantities, and quality checks
*Assist with inventory of packaging materials (bottles, caps, labels, boxes, etc.)
*Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation regulations
*Collaborate with other production and warehouse team members to meet daily targets
*Support other distillery operations as needed, including cleaning and minor warehousing tasks
Required Experience
*High school diploma or equivalent
*Previous experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment preferred
*Strong attention to detail and quality standards
*Ability to work in a physically demanding role (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods)
*Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with equipment and machinery
*Team player with good communication skills and a strong work ethic
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
*Must be of legal age to work in a liquor manufacturing environment in Saskatchewan
*Must acquire the Serve it Right certification prior to employment
