Responsibilities Tasks

• Develop policies for the removal of raw materials
• Direct and control daily operations
• Evaluate daily operations
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Advise senior management
• Recommend operational changes to ensure that production quotas and procedures are met
• Evaluate efficiency of production sites to determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies used
• Determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies used for operations
• Establish work schedules
• Confer with other managers to set production quotas and to plan extraction sites
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations
• Prepare production reports
• Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
• Develop and carry out health, safety and fire prevention plans
• Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines
