Within IBM Quantum, the Quantum Innovation Centers (QIC) Team is an elite team serving our partners as they research quantum computing solutions for their most pressing business challenges.

We keep our partners up to date with the latest technical advances, and ensure they are empowered to use our software and services. We engage with our partners on strategic topics ranging from setting up educational curricula to organizing hackathons, industry outreach, and building national ecosystems.

The Quantum Innovation Centers (QICs) are a large subset of premium partners involved across four ecosystem pillars: Quantum as a tool, Workforce and Enablement, R&D, and Economic Impact. As a Partnership Manager, you will be part of this team, responsible for the success of partnerships across Canada. You will have significant autonomy and flexibility in your role and are expected to contribute meaningfully to our business and our partners’ success.

Your role and responsibilities

  1. Act as a primary point of contact throughout the partner lifecycle, managing successful partnerships and projects with clear deliverables for several Canadian partners.
  2. Manage partner relationships and coordinate with our technical leads across engagements.
  3. Network within accounts to build relationships that achieve partner success and milestones.
  4. Represent the voice of the partner internally at IBM Quantum to improve products, offerings, and the partner ecosystem.
  5. Build tailored roadmaps to execute project delivery and strategic initiatives.
  6. Deliver workshops and training sessions, acting as a champion on quantum computing topics.
  7. Coordinate research, training, support, and enablement activities, creating assets for scalable future engagements.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Masters or higher degree in STEM fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business or technology strategy consulting or similar roles, with successful client interactions.
  • Strong project management skills with a commitment to organization and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in relationship building, negotiation, client, and stakeholder management.
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluency in English and French.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • PhD in STEM.
  • Experience with quantum computing.
  • Experience with data analytics.
