Our Mission:

  • Partner with equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and trading groups to enhance investment processes.
  • Provide quantitative analysis on strategies to Chief Investment Officers and investment teams.
  • Develop robust, investment-centric, infrastructure with our data and technology partners.
  • Effectively communicate research, process, and output to non-technical audiences.

Our DevOps model and cloud-based infrastructure ensure agile and governed deployment, benefiting both our team and our clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Quantitative Development Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our team, engaging in diverse projects that require a blend of investment, analytics, technology, and data engineering skills. You will help us build new solutions while also helping us maintain, scale, and enhance existing ones.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with investment teams across equities, fixed income, derivatives, multi-asset solutions, and trading at various stages of creation (research & development, deployment, implementation/production).
  • Enhancing technology infrastructure to streamline the process of bringing prototypes to production standards, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Working with Advanced Analytics teams on data models to support artificial intelligence research in the investment domain.
  • Engaging with end users to understand their needs, demonstrate solutions, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years work experience in financial markets and experience in developing technology-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python or R.
  • Strong desire and ability to learn new things, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of investment data/tools including Aladdin, FactSet, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, Morningstar.
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Databricks, MS SQL Server, Qdrant, and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure tools like Kubernetes, Airflow, Linux, and Docker on Azure/AWS a plus.
  • Competence in data visualization tools such as Streamlit, Shiny, Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, and Dash a plus.
  • Nice to have: Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Primary Location: Toronto, Ontario

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between: $94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD
