Job description

Desjardins Capital Markets is looking for a highly qualified quantitative developer to join our Fixed Income Group in Montreal. You’ll play a crucial role in the development, deployment and maintenance of our trading and data analysis applications, and will contribute to solution architecture. You’ll need to have a learning mindset and be willing to make a significant contribution to the Desjardins bond desk. More specifically, you will be required to :

• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable application delivery.

• Supervise the version control process by ensuring application updates are quickly and seamlessly rolled out.

• Support and enhance the PaaS model to optimize performance and scalability.

• Contribute to the quant-led development of software applications.

• Solve technical problems related to our trading and data analysis platforms.

• Configure and support the quant team’s development environments.

• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, quants and traders to understand what is required and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Stay in the know on industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve our systems

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data engineering or a related field

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience, including two years in the industry

• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (DevOps, SonarQube)

• Knowledge of French is required

• Knowledge of PaaS models and cloud platforms (Azure)

• Extensive knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming

• Knowledge of operating methods in a dynamic and fast environment

• Knowledge of kdb+/q, SQL, Bloomberg, FIX and fixed-income markets
