Job summary

Agam Capital in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking associates to join the Quantitative Analytics team, providing modeling and development support for the pALM platform.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining models for financial/regulatory reporting, asset and liability management, and capital optimization, with opportunities to automate processes and improve end-user tools. Strong programming skills and a quantitative background are required; ASA/CFA a plus.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or undergraduate degree in Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages (C, C#, C++, Python, R, other).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting ongoing development and maintenance of models and end-user computing tools through testing of new functionality.
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing solutions to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance end-user experience.
  • Developing new functionalities and modelling enhancements as necessary, including improved efficiencies.
  • Analyzing and summarizing large datasets of pertaining to financial assets and/or insurance liabilities.
  • Supporting experience analysis on insurance blocks
  • Contributing to new project initiatives and conducting research as required.
