Job description

Are you passionate about precision, measurement, and driving product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of engineering, quality systems, and data-driven problem solving?

We’re looking for a Quality Technologist to join a leading advanced manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing measurement strategies, conducting inspections, supporting new product launches, and leading quality improvement initiatives across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

Measurement & Product Support

  • Perform part measurements and inspections for internal teams and suppliers using OGP SmartScopes and other calibrated equipment.
  • Develop and validate custom fixtures and measurement plans.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize automated QA equipment, including vision systems.

Incoming & In-Process Inspection

  • Lead incoming and in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Support root cause investigations (NCRs, TDs, CAPAs) and implement inspection adjustments.

Data Analysis & Quality Systems

  • Leverage tools like 5 Whys, Pareto charts, and statistical analysis to identify trends and root causes.
  • Prepare detailed analysis reports and lead correlation studies with actionable insights.

Gauge Maintenance & Calibration

  • Conduct GR&R studies and manage calibration activities using GageTrak.
  • Maintain and improve calibration procedures and records for measurement systems.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Production teams to support audits, new product launches, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Mentor and assist in training junior quality team members and inspectors.

  • Follow all applicable H&S regulations and contribute to a safe, ISO 13485-compliant workplace.

What You Bring

  • Diploma or degree in Quality, Metrology, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar).
  • 3–5 years of quality or metrology experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with OGP SmartScope systems (vision and touch-probe programming).
  • Solid understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and measurement systems validation.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and quality systems (ISO 13485 preferred).
  • Strong data analysis, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming, GageTrak, and audit processes is a plus.
  • Prior experience in medical device manufacturing or similarly heavily regulated industries (such as aerospace, automotive, or pharmaceutical) is a major asset. Familiarity with ISO 13485, GMP, and strict quality system requirements will be highly valued.

Location & Work Environment

  • Onsite role based in London, Ontario.
  • Hands-on, collaborative team environment in a regulated manufacturing setting.
