Job summary

Napoleon Group of Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance professional in Barrie, ON to perform diverse QA activities, support production, and drive quality improvements. The role emphasizes inspections, process audits, and corrective actions within a manufacturing environment.

The position includes shift in the afternoons, opportunities to train peers, and involvement in new product launches and supplier performance management.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School or GED equivalent.
• 1–2 years of QA or related technical field experience.
• Ability to communicate audit results to production leadership.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proper use of measurement tools to verify conformance.
• Basic understanding of quality principles (Pareto charts, 8D, control plans).
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Dynamics is an asset.
• Product testing ability is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support production lines for internal/external QA issues and implement corrective actions.
• Contain nonconforming products and issue holds; coordinate rework as needed.
• Draft and issue Email Hold Notifications and Quality Alerts.
• Draft and issue Concessions and Nonconformance Reports.
• Issue supplier returns (RMRs) to disposition products.
• Conduct process audits and identify trends.
• Coordinate first-off/process runs and document findings.
• Arrange calibration of measurement equipment and maintain schedule.
• Train new production associates on quality knowledge.
• Assist with other QA activities and projects.
