A global independent soft drinks manufacturer is seeking a driven Quality Technician to maintain high food safety standards. This role involves leading quality inspections, performing audits, and supporting production initiatives. Ideal candidates should have hands-on experience in quality assurance within food or beverage industries and possess strong attention to detail, making collaborative efforts integral to ensuring compliance with health regulations. We are looking for a driven Quality Technician to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK based in Bridgewater (TA6).
- Salary is £35,000 per annum + 4% Bonus
- 4 on 4 off shift - 2 x Days (07:00–19:00), 2 x Nights (19:00–07:00), followed by 4 days off
- Permanent role, will consider both full-time and part time candidates

Are you detail-driven, quality-focused, and passionate about maintaining the highest food safety standards?
As a Quality Technician, you will be the technical point of contact outside regular hours, working closely with Shift Managers to resolve quality issues in real time. You’ll ensure compliance with food safety standards by performing inspections, GMP and hygiene audits, raw material sample testing, and traceability checks.
You will lead investigations into non-conformance's and complaints, escalating issues where product legality or safety may be at risk. You’ll also support production on trials, first runs, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring accurate data logging, calibration, and documentation are always maintained.
Ideally you will be an experienced Quality Technician in a food, beverage, pharmaceutical or FMCG environment. Hands-on experience conducting GMP and hygiene audits, investigating non-conformance's and complaints, and working to recognised quality standards such as BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000. Confident in reviewing batch records, testing raw materials, and ensuring compliance with food safety legislation. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across production, engineering, and technical teams are essential.
Quality Technician: Key responsibilities
- Act as the onsite quality lead during your shift, supporting and advising Shift Managers
- Perform GMP and hygiene audits, raw material testing, and traceability checks
- Investigate product complaints and non-conformance's, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records, calibration schedules, and sample retention processes
- Support production trials, first production runs, and new product launches
- Promote a strong quality and food safety culture across all teams
