Full Time Quality Assurance Technician – Dartmouth

Overview of the role:

You'll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality, the quality assurance technician is responsible for the quality control of the products by performing raw and finished product testing according to the quality program.

Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week – 6:00 pm – 2:00 am

Salary: $28.55 Per Hour

There are 2 salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $31.70.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  1. Monitors adherence to GMP’s in the plant, and participates in HACCP program
  2. Collects samples of ingredients, raw materials, line, finished products and others as required
  3. Follows the Laboratory Quality Program and contributes to its implementation
  4. Performs ingredient, packaging or product QC holds when needed
  5. Contributes to proper laboratory cleaning and housekeeping as required
  6. Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  2. One year of experience in microbiology and Quality Control
  3. Proficient in computer application (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  4. Attention to accuracy and detail
  5. Ability to demonstrate analytical and organizational skills
  6. Must have the ability to work unsupervised
