Job summary

Husky Technologies Bolton, ON is seeking a Quality Technician to perform basic quality inspections, audits and reporting to ensure materials and processes meet our quality standards. The role includes calibration work and working with cross-functional teams on process improvements.

You will read drawings and specifications, use calipers, micrometers and gauges, and participate in shift-based production activities with strong attention to detail and teamwork. A high school diploma is required.

  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in using measuring and inspection tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and ensure compliance with quality procedures and inspection processes.
  • Identify failure causes and coordinate containment with manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain and update quality metrics (SQDC) as required.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process products and finished goods; prepare reports.

Key Requirements
  • Must be able to work rotating shift schedules
  • Must be able to commute to Bolton

Pay Range: 24-29$ hourly

The Quality Technician, Components performs basic quality techniques (inspection and audits) to track, analyze and report on materials, processes and products to ensure they conform to the company's quality standards, and are involved in the calibration of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Executes and assures compliance with quality procedures, practices and inspection processes
  • Interacts with manufacturing team members to determine failure cause of quality issues and ensures containment.
  • Updates and maintain specific quality metrics as required (SQDC)
  • Evaluates hardware, performs laboratory procedures, inspects products, measures process performance, records data, and prepares formal reports
  • Interpreting specifications, reading drawings, BOM, standards and tolerances in a GD&T environment
  • Supports process capability analysis, Kaizen initiatives and process monitoring for continual improvement
  • Trains cross functional team members in quality requirements, inspection and test practices
  • Trains other quality technicians or students as required.
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods
  • Use measuring tools and inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Record inspection results and prepare detailed non-conformance reports
  • Identify defects and collaborate with production teams to improve quality processes
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field
  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or in a manufacturing/production environment is an asset
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Basic knowledge of quality standards and inspection techniques
  • Proficient in using measuring and inspection tools
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and inspect products for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and handle materials as required (within safe limits)
  • Good vision, including the ability to distinguish colors and fine details
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing or warehouse setting
  • May involve exposure to noise, machinery, and production equipment
  • Shift work or overtime may be required based on production needs
