We are looking for a Quality Technician – a skilled individual who will participate in risk mitigation activities and will analyze quality trends for continuous improvement opportunities. The Quality Technician will support key departmental objectives and our quality management system.
What You Will Do
- Champion continuous improvement
- Identify, isolate, and document Non-Conformances.
- Champion internal non conformances from initiation to closure.
- Read and interpret; drawings/blueprints, regulatory requirements
- Create internal Quality Alerts.
- Perform dimensional studies as required.
- Use Quality Tools and Statistical Process Control techniques.
- Participate in measurement systems analysis as required.
- Daily Controlled Environment
- Support and champion product dispositioned for rework in production
What We Need
- Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance or Science-based discipline and /or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor of Science or Engineering, or post-graduate education in a Compliance, Quality Assurance or Regulatory discipline
- A minimum of two years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment working within a Quality Management System compliant to an ISO standard is required. Experience working within a Quality Management System including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and within a regulated manufacturing environment
- The incumbent should have experience in: CMM or optical measurement instrumentation, customer service, root cause analysis, data analysis, meeting management and time management. Experience in material compliance and familiarity with restricted substance regulations that impact medical devices such as REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, etc. Familiarity with plastic material compliance is an asset.
- Previous leadership experience will be considered a benefit to this position
