Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high volume vehicle manufacturers. Multimatic Inmet is looking for a Quality Systems Coordinator. This is a pivotal role in upholding our high standards by ensuring that every aspect of our operations meets rigorous quality specifications. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively across various departments. The Quality System Coordinator manages, updates, and maintains the company's quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with standards like IATF16949 and ISO14001, and ensures that our organization's products, services, and processes meet strict legal rules and high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key contact with registrars, for IATF16949 and ISO14001 certificates, external audits, and system activities.
- Maintain and update IATF16949 and ISO14001 documents, including process maps, procedures, forms, and records.
- Work with process owners to review and update process maps, responsibilities, activities, forms as required and ensure related documents are reviewed and updated annually.
- Review and maintain Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) to ensure applicable requirements are included in the quality system.
- Maintain training records when procedures, processes, or quality system documents are updated.
- Maintain required record retention and revision information for quality system documents.
- Schedule and support IATF16949 and ISO14001 audits including maintenance of monthly environmental measurements and records.
- Support Michigan operations during internal and external IATF16949 and ISO14001 audits.
- Schedule Management Review meetings, collect required inputs and supporting evidence, and document and communicate the required outputs.
- Preparation for external IATF16949 / ISO14001 audits.
- Organize internal auditors training.
- Monitor production processes and parts to ensure they meet quality standards, customer requirements, and specifications when applicable.
- Conduct floor audits to verify operators are following work instructions, Control Plans, Inspection Plans, and quality procedures.
- Verify proper use of first-off tags, reject tags, and escalation procedures.
- Follow up on open and expired deviations to ensure they are closed or extended as required.
- Review and maintain the Quality Alert Log to ensure quality issues are being tracked and addressed.
- Coordinate gauge external calibration activities and follow up to ensure measuring equipment is calibrated on time.
- Support quality investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Work with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Technicians, and process owners to maintain quality requirements and resolve issues.
- Work with QEs to create, review, and update Control Plans and Inspection Plans when required.
- Update quality documents based on process changes, customer requirements, engineering changes, and quality concerns.
- Ensure inspection requirements and reaction plans are properly documented.
- Will work in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Community College Program at a minimum.
- Five years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing Tier 1 Quality environment.
- Good understanding of the AIAG 5 Core Tools, principles and concepts of Statistical Process Control.
- ASQ, CQE certification would be an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization, customers, suppliers, sub-contractors, engineers, etc.
- Good knowledge of company processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer skills in MS Office, Statistical Tools like Minitab and other data bases.
The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be: $57,658.00 - $107,000.00.
