Job summary

The Narmco Group in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a Quality Supervisor who reports to the facility Quality Assurance Manager. You will manage daily quality department activities and ensure adherence to QA standards.

Responsibilities include implementing QA manual requirements, on-the-floor decision making, investigations with corrective actions, and developing inspection techniques. A community college engineering technology or supervision background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Community College in Engineering Technology or Management/Supervision or equivalent.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems ISO/TS16949.
• Knowledge of inspection methods and SPC.
• Experience in quality problem resolution.
• Supervisory skills including communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Implement Quality Assurance Manual requirements.
• Day-to-day, shift-to-shift decisions on shop floor.
• Investigate production problems and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor and report on floor QA activities.
• Plan and maintain documentation (Control Plans, Flow Charts).
• Develop new inspection techniques.
• Train personnel and supervise the team.

The successful candidate for this position will report directly to the facility Quality Assurance Manager and shall be responsible for administering all the daily activities of the Quality Department.

Job Responsibilities

• Implementation of Quality Assurance Manual requirements.
• Day-to-day, shift-to-shift decision making at the shop floor level.
• The participation of in-depth investigations of production problems and the ultimate follow up of corrective action(s).
• The monitoring and reporting of all on floor Quality Assurance activities.
• The planning and maintenance of all documentation i.e.: Control Plans - Flow Charts, etc.
• The development of new Inspection techniques.
• The continual development and training of personnel.
• Participation in investigation and corrective action of customer complaints.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of Community College
  • Engineering Technology or
  • Management/Supervision
  • Or equivalent training and experience
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Shall have knowledge of Quality Systems to ISO/TS16949 Standard.
• Shall have knowledge of inspection methods and Statistical Process Control.
• Shall have experience on quality problem resolution.
• Shall have supervisory skills such as good communication & organizational skills.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 / hour
