What you can expect to do here:

  • Support Analysts and Engineers in performing quality analysis and control for Rail & Transit projects.
  • Lead the development of a Transportation Systems Quality Management System and maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Develop QMP and procedures for major projects, in accordance with contract and ISO standards.
  • Review Project Management Plans from a rail systems perspective.
  • Monitor quality activities and liaise with client’s Quality representatives.
  • Lead project audits, including quality, financial, risk, and performance analyses.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for Transportation Systems Quality Assurance.
  • Train project teams on QMS requirements and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Coordinate resolution of technical issues with stakeholders to ensure standards are met.
  • Manage nonconformance reports, change orders, and safety procedures.
  • Address customer complaints and project performance issues.
  • Travel may be required to support projects and client needs.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Degree in Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
  • Quality assurance/control certification.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Rail Systems projects, familiar with CENELEC and/or AREMA standards.
  • Internal or Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience in Rail & Transit or similar fields.
  • PMP certification and/or P.Eng license are a plus.
  • Experience in consulting engineering environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Rail Systems QA/QC principles, methods, and documentation.
  • Technical leadership and management skills.
  • Understanding of Rail Systems Engineering concepts and lifecycle phases.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
