Job Title : Quality Solution Technician, Level 3

Job Type : Full-Time

Reports to : Defense, Aerospace & Commercial Executive Advisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Quality Solution Technician, Level 3 to join our team. This role bridges the gap between sales, engineering, and production by identifying the best solutions for our aerospace customers. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in quoting, solution development, and ensuring that New Product Introduction (NPI) and production processes align with customer requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Solution Development

  • Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, challenges, and project goals.
  • Analyze customer specifications and recommend the best cable and wire harness solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates to support the sales team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize solutions that balance cost, performance, and manufacturability.

Quoting & Cost Analysis

  • Develop accurate and competitive quotes based on materials, labor, and production capabilities.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative materials, design optimizations, or process improvements.
  • Ensure all quotes comply with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and company pricing strategies.
  • Work with NPI teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to production.
  • Provide technical guidance to production teams, addressing manufacturability and assembly concerns.
  • Support First Article (FA) and prototype builds, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all solutions meet aerospace industry regulations (AS9100, IPC / WHMA-A-620, MIL-spec, etc.).
  • Work closely with the Quality team to address customer concerns, implement corrective actions, and improve processes.
  • Participate in design and process reviews to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales, engineering, and production teams.
  • Support customer audits, technical discussions, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Provide training and technical expertise to internal teams and external customers when needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or quoting role within aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards and regulations (AS9100, IPC / WHMA-A-620, MIL-spec, etc.).
  • Experience in wire harness and cable assembly design, manufacturing, and cost analysis is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical, commercial, and operational considerations.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and production teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP / MRP systems.
