Job summary

BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. in Peterborough seeks a Quality & Process Specialist to bolster the Fuel Manufacturing Group with QA expertise, process qualification, and optimization. You will drive continuous improvement to align with quality and business growth objectives.

The role covers QA program support, data-driven process enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration to uphold regulatory and company standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field or minimum 5 years direct QA experience.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with excellent written and verbal Communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable QA regulations and standards.
• Proven analytical ability.
• Knowledge of Canada Labour Code Part II.
• Proficient with MS Office software.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & CSA N299 standards.
• Prior experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
• Must be available for on-call periods.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: perform QA program policy & procedures tasks and training.
• Develop general knowledge of regulations; provide guidance to employees and management.
• Support QA programs, record keeping, and governance systems.
• Participate in Non-conforming product investigations and change control.
• Lead safety, quality committees, and on-site initiatives.
• Assist with QA training, onboarding, and interfacing with regulators.
