Job summary

Jamieson Wellness is seeking a Microbiology Technologist to join our Quality Assurance team in Windsor, Ontario. You will support microbiological testing, data interpretation, and report generation to ensure product quality.

The role requires a three-year degree or diploma in microbiological/biological science, familiarity with pharmacopeias, and the ability to work with GMP/GLP requirements. Shift work and overtime may be required along with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Three-year degree or diploma in microbiological or biological science from an accredited College/University or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience in a similar role is an asset.
• Conversant in USP, EP, BP pharmacopeia; Health Canada BAM is an asset.
• GMP/GLP requirements are an asset.
• Proficiency with LIMS and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Strong organizational and analytical skill set.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment and independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily processing of microbiological samples including media preparation, dilutions, sterilization, and record keeping.
• Perform QC testing of cultures and media for sterility and growth promotion.
• Conduct microbiological analyses on raw materials, bulk, finished products, and water using pharmacopeial methods.
• Operate and maintain biosafety cabinets, autoclaves, incubators, balances, and related equipment.
• Maintain sanitation of the Microbiology Laboratory and follow GMP/SOP guidelines.
• Interpret microbial data, document results, and report findings; assist in investigations as needed.
