Job Opportunity: Quality Manager at Penn Machine Company LLC

Penn Machine Company LLC, part of Marmon Holdings and backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is a leading manufacturer in the transit, railroad, mining, general industry, and oil/gas sectors globally. We are seeking a Quality Manager with a strong background in quality management, ISO, and AAR standards to oversee quality activities at our Blairsville, PA, and Johnstown, PA locations.

Responsibilities

1. Manage ISO 9001:2015 and AAR audits.
2. Lead process controls, quality policies, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Oversee daily operations of the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
4. Track KPIs, CARs, OFIs, and generate reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5-8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Deep knowledge of process-based QMS and organizational monitoring and validation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SPC software, Minitab, and familiarity with ERP systems like Epicor.
• Hands-on experience with quality systems, policies, and customer requirement interpretation.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and blueprint reading skills.
• Mechanical knowledge of gears, bearings, and gearboxes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to analyze and implement solutions.
• Ability to interpret complex technical material and communicate effectively with management.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, maintaining valid travel documentation.
• Valid driver's license required.
