Job summary

Nestlé Canada is seeking a Laboratory Technician at the London Ice Cream Factory in London, Ontario. You will perform lab analyses, document results, and support QA to ensure safe, high-quality products for consumers.

The role may require shift rotations and weekend work, with benefits and a comprehensive health/dental package. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential, as is SAP experience.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in biology, microbiology, chemistry, nutrition or science/food related field or a college diploma in science/food related field.
• Relevant work experience in a laboratory environment.
• Experience with analytical methods and ability to perform physical, chemical and microbiological testing.
• Excellent communication skills for inter-department communication via emails, in person, or on the phone.
• Great attention to detail with focus on quality and food safety.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• SAP knowledge will be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lab analyses and QA duties following procedures.
• Analyze samples including micro plating and chemical analysis.
• Document results in SAP and organize records for review and analysis.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; keep 5S and housekeeping.
• Review daily raw material, in-process, and finished product quality data.
• Release materials meeting quality specifications.
• Test pre-operational microbiological samples and coordinate corrective actions.
• Communicate results to other factory departments.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Adhere to GMPs to prevent contamination; promote quality and safety.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
