Job summary

Aecon Nuclear at Pickering Generating Station is hiring for a quality inspector responsible for construction inspection, testing plans, dimensional checks and material verification on site. You will ensure compliance with codes and customer specifications while supporting nuclear project delivery.

Candidates should have welding/QA/QC background, Electrical Red Seal is preferred, strong communication and computer skills, and experience in receiving inspections and nuclear warehouses.

Qualifications

• Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC, or a related discipline.
• Electrical Red Seal (preferred).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Computer literate in MS Office.
• Experience in receiving inspections and Nuclear Qualified Warehouse/Clean Room is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in review and execution of the Construction Inspection and Test Plans.
• Perform quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications.
• Dimensional inspections.
• Visual electrical inspecting.
• General inspections, torquing, FME, etc.
• Documentation review.
• Material receipt inspection.
• Positive material identification.
• Review of Certified Material Test Reports as required.
• Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of a cost of quality tracking system.
• Track non-conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests.

This role will work on site at Pickering Generating Station.

What You’ll Do Here

What You Bring To The Team

• Electrical Red Seal (preferred).
• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Previous experience in receiving inspections and controls within a Nuclear Qualified Warehouse and Clean Room would be considered an asset.

The expected pay range for this role is $37.00 - $45.00 per hour.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
