Degree or Diploma in Engineering

Job description

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering preferred
  • 2 yrs+ industrial QA experience in a production environment; automotive, steel or painted parts environment an asset
  • Coil coating experience an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret documentation such as technical specifications, operating instructions and procedures manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally to other employees
  • Ability to perform accurate calculations using basis arithmetic concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication), whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Ability to perform basic measurements
  • Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, numeric or diagram form

Duties / Responsibilities

  • SHIFTS : 1 week DAYS, 1 week AFTERNOONS, 1 week NIGHTS rotation
  • Inspect and test finished paint line product to ensure conformance to customer requirements as communicated in the line specification
  • Conduct and record the results of visual inspection and quality control testing on paint line product
  • Conduct calibration and verification testing on selected equipment
  • Collect, indentify and store retained samples of paint line product
  • Conform to organization requirements related to wearing of PPE, proper use of lab equipment including ovens and presses, power shear, foot shear, hand shear, computer systems
