  • Experience in the optical/ophthalmic industry is a plus.

  • Implement and control a results-oriented Quality Management program.

What’s the role?

As a Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager, you will work with an exceptional team vital to Carl Zeiss Vision Canada. Showcase your skills and experience in process enhancement.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • This role provides primary quality and compliance support (environmental and occupational health & safety) for the RX Lab and CE&Fs in Canada; responsible for implementing, executing, and controlling a results-oriented Quality Management program based on the ZEISS Management System (Quality and EHS).
  • Under the direction of the President of Carl Zeiss Vision Canada Inc., lead the QEHS functions across all locations in Canada, supporting key Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety regulatory activities and initiatives.
  • This position reports functionally to the Regional (NALA) Director, Quality/EHS/Regulatory.
  • Do you qualify?
  • Bachelor’s or technical degree in a technology discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 and Health Canada Medical Devices Regulations.
  • Experience with Quality Tools (DMAIC, 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why, SPC, GR&R).
  • Knowledge of Canadian Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety requirements & ISO 14001.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the optical/ophthalmic industry is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of auditing QMS & EHS.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking and writing).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willing to travel up to 20%; valid credentials required.
  • Experience with Minitab or SPC software for data analysis.
