Role & Responsibilities :

  • Perform project execution activities for Advanced Nuclear projects, focusing on quality control of the procurement activities.
  • Work proactively with suppliers to define specific quality requirements, including development of inspection, verification, and qualification processes, in addition to tests and processes to assure products and services meet the project and customer quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure product and process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work proactively with suppliers to resolve quality concerns, applying technical and quality expertise to deliver project quality requirements.
  • Disposition of supplier non-conforming products.
  • Write and review technical quality documents, plans, and procedures.
  • Support future error prevention through the use of the corrective action processes.

Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Nuclear quality role with overall a minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering support, or working in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear customers, industry programs, and competitive environments.
  • Exhibit a strong Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear welding and non-destructive examination processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASME NQA-1 CSA N299 and CSA N285 standards and ISO-9001.
  • Previous or Current Quality Lead Auditor certification would be an asset.
  • Experience in conducting quality inspections of equipment, components, or systems to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer-focused team environment.
  • Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; proven ability to develop team relationships.
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership at supplier and / or regulatory organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
