Job summary

Encore Technical Solutions Inc. is seeking a motivated recent graduate to join our client's team on an initial 6-month contract as a Quality Assurance / Automation Engineer.

You'll gain hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver. You will work alongside experienced developers and QA professionals, perform automated and manual testing of web applications, and contribute tests to CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Academic, internship, co-op, or personal project experience with Java development.
• Hands-on experience or coursework using Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
• Understanding of software testing concepts, including functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and API testing fundamentals.
• Exposure to test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Selenium.
• Experience using source control tools such as Git.
• Able to commute to Markham, ON 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

What You'll Do
