Ready to Be Part of Something Extraordinary?

Join a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company located in Glenlyon Business Park, Burnaby.

Dorigo Systems Ltd. is committed to driving positive change in everything we do for our customers. We manufacture technology products, from surface mount assemblies to full box-build solutions, for innovative design and manufacturing companies across North America.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for leading problem resolution, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer quality support across our electronics manufacturing operations.

As a key member of the Quality team, you will serve as the primary quality contact for customers in highly regulated industries, including aerospace and medical devices, ensuring quality requirements are understood, documented, and met in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 13485 standards.

The successful candidate is a structured problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is equally comfortable analyzing data, collaborating on the production floor, and engaging directly with customers.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities using 8D, DMAIC, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma tools including SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, FMEA, control plans, process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), DOE, value stream mapping, and mistake-proofing techniques.
  • Analyze quality performance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate cross-functional continuous improvement and kaizen initiatives.
  • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and implement preventative measures across similar processes and products.
Customer Quality Support
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Prepare and support validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports.
  • Respond to customer quality inquiries, supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), and documentation requirements.
  • Support AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP submissions, control plans, and process validations.
  • Participate in customer audits, inspections, and quality reviews while driving resulting action items to completion.
Quality Management System
  • Maintain and improve quality management system processes in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 13485.
  • Support internal audits, management reviews, and external certification audits.
  • Manage CAPA activities, non-conforming material reviews (MRB), and change control processes.
  • Ensure effective risk management practices through PFMEAs and other quality planning tools.
  • Maintain documentation, traceability, and record retention practices that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Manufacturing & Supplier Support
  • Provide day-to-day quality engineering support for SMT, through-hole, and box-build manufacturing operations.
  • Evaluate workmanship issues using IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Support new product introductions through quality planning, inspection criteria development, and process validation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and drive supplier performance improvements.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience leading root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills, including experience with Minitab or equivalent software.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and quality reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
