Job description

Quality Engineer – Automotive | Brampton, ON

We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join a growing automotive manufacturing team in Brampton.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, working through real quality challenges, and having visibility with customers, suppliers, Production and Sales. The role will play an important part in supporting the company’s growing automotive business, including a major customer currently in safe launch.

The successful candidate will be hands‑on, technically strong and comfortable using data to make decisions. You don’t need to have the longest résumé in the market — the team is very open to an intermediate‑level Quality Engineer who is motivated, communicates well and is ready to take ownership.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Owning and supporting automotive PPAPs
  • Supporting safe-launch activities and customer requirements
  • Reviewing and analyzing Cpk, Ppk, SPC and process capability data
  • Working with APQP, PFMEA and Control Plans
  • Reading engineering drawings and working with GD&T and dimensional tolerances
  • Working directly with customers on quality concerns and audits
  • Supporting supplier audits and corrective actions
  • Partnering with Production to investigate and resolve quality issues on the plant floor
  • Supporting root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Working cross-functionally with Quality, Operations and Sales
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong hands‑on PPAP experience
  • Automotive or transferable automotive‑adjacent manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949
  • Experience with APQP
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances and engineering drawings
  • Experience with Cpk/Ppk, SPC and process capability
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers
  • A practical, data‑driven approach to problem solving
  • Someone who is comfortable being hands‑on and working closely with the plant floor

You do not need to come from an OEM or Tier 1 environment, and aluminum extrusion experience is not required. The team is focused on finding someone who understands quality, knows PPAP well, can communicate professionally and has the drive to grow with the business.
