Job summary

SKF in Calgary, AB, is seeking a skilled Quality Electrical Engineer to support customer and manufacturing quality for electrical and electronic products. The role covers customer-return investigations, failure analysis, MRB, first-pass-yield, and corrective-action implementation.

The ideal candidate will apply hands-on electrical troubleshooting, structured problem solving, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC standards is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis and testing of customer-returned and non-conforming products.
• Investigate electrical/non-conformances and support NCR/MRB processes.
• Analyze schematics, PCB layouts and test results to identify failure mechanisms.
• Prepare technical reports with root causes and corrective actions.
• Support containment actions and quality improvements across production and engineering.
