Job summary

Kardium Inc. in Burnaby, BC is hiring for a on-site Quality Control role supporting development, manufacturing and sales of the Globe Pulsed Field System. The role reports to the QC Supervisor and involves 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Thursday to Saturday with alternating Wednesdays, including holidays.

The candidate will perform inspections and document results in a regulated environment. Qualified applicants will have at least two years in QC or metrology, ability to read drawings

Qualifications

  • Hands-on quality control or metrology experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience in cleanroom environments preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and incoming inspections in certified cleanrooms.
  • Produce formal inspection reports and initiate NCRs as needed.
  • Implement 5S practices at QC stations and contribute to process improvements.
  • Suggest improvement ideas for QC processes.

We have obtained FDA approval and officially began the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!

Reporting to the QC Supervisor, you will have direct responsibility for the Quality Control activities to support the development, manufacturing, and sales of the Kardium products.

Please note, this opportunity is an onsite work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Additionally, due to the nature of our manufacturing operations, this role involves working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Thursday through Saturday and alternating Wednesdays, including holidays.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

Your responsibilities will include:

  • In-process and incoming inspections according to established specifications and procedures inside certified cleanrooms.
  • Producing formal reports of the inspection and measurement results and initiating non-conformity reports (NCR) when required.
  • Implementing 5S good practices to the Quality Control stations.
  • Suggesting improvement ideas related to the Quality Control processes.

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:

  • At least two years of hands-on quality control or metrology lab experience, preferably in regulated manufacturing industries, such as medical devices or automotive.
  • Desire to work in a certified cleanroom environment.
  • Able to perform detailed visual inspections.
  • An ability to interpret mechanical drawings to understand specified dimensional and functional characteristics to be measured, tested, or inspected, including the basics of GD&T.
  • Proficiency with standard measurement tools/systems such as calipers and micrometers.
  • An associate degree or diploma in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills.
  • The willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Compensation

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% Retirement Savings Plan contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates withmore or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.

  • $50,000 - 63,000 (CAD Annually)

The total cash we’ve listed for this position includes a base salary, plus an annual contribution to a Retirement Savings Plan accountto help support your financial goals.
