Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Cambridge, ON.

This role involves supporting Field Services projects by ensuring compliance with BWXT's quality program and conducting independent quality inspections. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in technically demanding environments, including radiological and confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform quality control inspections according to project procedures and the ASME Code.
  2. Monitor processes through Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans (MITPs).
  3. Conduct material receipt and in-process inspections.
  4. Complete and review Work Packages/History Dockets.
  5. Assist with procedure and MITP reviews.
  6. Perform NDE duties where applicable.
  7. Carry out vendor source inspections as required.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma in NDE/Quality Technology or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • CGSB Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant (PT) is highly desirable.
  • Additional CGSB Level II or CWB certifications are assets.
  • Strong knowledge of NDE methods and the ASME Code.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 70%) and work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and radiological environments with appropriate PPE.
Security Clearance

This position requires successful completion of a security clearance process, conducted in accordance with Canadian regulations, which may take up to 12 months.

The salary range in Ontario for this role is estimated between $64,000 and $90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional elements such as bonuses and comprehensive benefits. Specific details will be provided upon offer.
