A leading staffing agency is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a client in Barrie, ON. The role involves inspecting concrete products, monitoring production processes, and implementing quality assurance measures. The suitable candidate will have previous experience in quality control specifically within the concrete industry and possess relevant certifications. Shift - Day shift
Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect and verify that finished concrete products meet established quality standards and specifications.
Conduct measurements and verify materials and dimensions of fabricated components against detailed engineering drawings.
Monitor concrete production processes, including pre-pour, pour, and post-pour stages, to ensure quality and consistency.
Test physical properties of concrete such as slump, air content, temperature, and compressive strength.
Identify non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis.
Implement corrective and preventive actions in consultation with Project Management, Engineering, and the QC Manager.
Accurately document inspection and test results, and maintain organized records for compliance audits.
Communicate effectively with production teams to maintain quality control standards.
Suggest and support process improvements aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
Represent the company professionally in all internal and external communications.
Assist in achieving departmental and organizational quality goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Previous experience in a Quality Control role within the construction or precast concrete industry is an asset.
Possession of ACI or PCI certifications is considered an advantage.
Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and customer-focused environment.
Knowledge of and adherence to relevant safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to take responsibility, communicate effectively, and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
