Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Description:

  • Establishes, introduces, coaches and supports adoption and adherence to QA standards and processes across manufacturing sites in Québec and Ontario.
  • Establishes systems and procedures, maintains and reports product conformance to specifications and processes to ensure thorough inspection of raw materials, works in process and finished goods inventories.
  • Audits and reviews production process for conformance to quality standards.
  • Supervises and provides guidance and direction to a team of 4 QA Technicians andensures performance of all internal and external quality checks.
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality: Root cause analysis; Reports and tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action to appropriate management.
  • Participates in new product development and participates in cost and mix optimization.
  • Determines validity of customer complaints via customer contact, blueprint interpretation and/or inspection of returned goods.
  • Acts as liaison for all matters relating to quality of produced goods to all other organizations within and across the company.
  • If needed, visits suppliers to review quality concerns and issues to minimize inspection requirements.

Requirements:

– Education: Completion of secondary school is required

– Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing are required.

– Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye coordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Salary: $44.13 hourly, 40 hours per week

Important Information: The regular schedule will be from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including one 60-minute break. Work on holidays and overtime may be required depending on the business needs.
