IS2 in Langley, BC is seeking a full-time Quality Control Specialist with fresh produce knowledge to ensure product quality from arrival through storage.

You will review incoming stock for quality, report defects, assist training on fresh produce standards, manage inventory, support HACCP compliance, and coordinate temperature-controlled transportation.

The position offers stability with a temporary-to-permanent path and requires eligibility to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Must understand fresh produce and identify quality issues on arrival.
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication to report product condition.
• Team player who can work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of FIFO inventory management and HACCP principles.

Responsabilités

• Review product on arrival and report quality issues/deficiencies.
• Assist with coaching, teaching, and training staff on fresh produce quality.
• Apply HACCP (Food Safety) practices.
• Manage inventory and coordinate transportation with temperature controls.
• Collaborate with production supervisor and warehouse staff to meet customer specs and inventory flows.
• Communicate day-to-day inventory movements to warehouse management.

Job Location: Langley, BC

Payrate - $50,000 - $55,000 per annum

Temporary to Permanent - Full time

Responsibilities:

• Must have the ability to review product upon arrival and report quality issues and deficiencies
• Assisting with coaching, teaching and training of staff referring to fresh produce and quality deficiencies
• HACCP (Food Safety)
• Inventory management
• Coordination and monitoring of transportation referencing to temperature of product
• Other projects and responsibilities as may arise
• Managing inventory regarding product quality
• Working with production supervisor and staff to meet customer specifications
• Communicating with warehouse management and warehouse supervisors of day to day incoming and outgoing inventory

Qualifications:

• An understanding of fresh produce and quality control. Must have the ability to review product upon arrival and recognize quality issues and deficiencies
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills – in order to report product condition
• Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude
• Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines
• Ability to work in high-paced environment
• Good time management skills
• Good computer skills
• Highly organized; knowledgeable and follow the company’s policies and procedures
• Must be experienced with managing product inventory, FIFO program when required
• Must be PR or Canadian citizen
