Ippolito Fruit and Produce Ltd. in Burlington, Ontario is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our Inventory Control team.

You will support daily quality checks, food safety, inventory accuracy, and distribution activities to ensure products meet internal standards and customer expectations. The role requires 2–3 years in distribution, possibly supervisory experience, and a focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of distribution experience, preferably in food industry.
• Supervisory experience in a distribution role is an asset.
• Health and safety training is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory, shipment and quality docs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs comfortably and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of quality standards, policies and monitoring systems.
• Complete documentation in compliance with food safety requirements.
• Help ensure production and sales goals with quality product.
• Support proper product rotation using FIFO practices.
• Promote a clean and safe work environment across departments.
• Provide support related to health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Assist Grower Relations in monitoring grower food safety and quality.
• Review and report shortages, overages, and Days on Hand aging in DC.
• Assist with inbound/outbound shipment data, cases, pallets, workload, movement.
• Review and document product rejections and shipping errors for management.

Ippolito Fruit and Produce Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Quality Control Specialist team member to join our Inventory Control department. This role supports daily quality, food safety, inventory, and distribution activities to help ensure our products meet internal standards and customer expectations.

The successful candidate will play an important role in monitoring product quality, supporting inventory accuracy, documenting shipment activity, and promoting a clean, safe, and food-safe work environment.

What You'll Do

• Support the execution of quality standards, policies, procedures, and monitoring systems.
• Complete documentation in compliance with food safety requirements.
• Help ensure production and sales goals are met with quality product.
• Support proper product rotation using FIFO practices unless otherwise directed.
• Promote a clean and safe work environment across departments.
• Provide support related to health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Assist the Grower Relations team in monitoring grower food safety and quality standards.
• Review and report shortages, overages, and Days on Hand aging information within the Distribution Centre.
• Assist with compiling inbound and outbound shipment data, including cases, pallets, workload distribution, and movement volumes.
• Review and document product rejections and shipping errors for management review.
• Flexibility to travel between our locations at 1060 Howard Road and 201 North Service Road in Burlington, Ontario.

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
• 2-3 years of previous distribution experience, preferably in the food industry.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with inventory, shipment, and quality documentation.
