We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Reliability Test Specialist to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

You would act as a Senior Reliability Test Specialist for our dynamic team. You will be working within the Quality Control team with the focus on reliability testing. Main responsibilities include designing and executing tests to evaluate the durability and longevity of a product under various stress conditions, identifying potential failure points and ensuring the product's reliability throughout its lifecycle by analyzing data and recommending improvements to the design and manufacturing process. This is a great opportunity to work on new products with various cross-functional teams and contribute to quality improvement of Fortinet products.

As a Senior Reliability Test Specialist, your responsibilities will include :

  • Create reliability test plans that define test methodologies, parameters, and acceptance criteria based on product specifications.
  • Set up test environments and equipment to simulate real-world conditions, including environmental stress such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and shock.
  • Investigate failures with cross-functional teams to determine their root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor test progress, collect data on failures and performance metrics, and analyze results using statistical methods to identify trends and root causes.
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure modes and their impact on the product, prioritizing areas for further testing and design improvements.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Review reliability test reports from contract manufacturers.

We are looking for :

  • 5+ years of experience in electronic design, test or manufacturing (reliability test or quality control role is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, including mechanics and electronics.
  • Familiarity with networking, including TCP / IP, routing, switching, etc.
  • Proficiency in test equipment and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of software and scripting (C, Python, etc.) to automate test procedures.
  • Hands-on experience in failure analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, multi-tasking, ability to work alone, or in a team.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $85,000 - $90,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
